Nadia Comaneci, (born November 12th of November, 1961 Gheorghe Gheorghiu Dej, (presently Onesti] Romania) Romanian gymnast who was the first gymnast to receive a score of a perfect of 10 during an Olympic competition. Comaneci was discovered by Bela Karolyi, later to be the Romanian gymnastics coach at the time she was only six years old. She first competed in the national junior championships of 1969, finishing 13th. She won the competition in the year 1970. At her first international contest in 1972, she won the event by winning three gold awards. At her first competitive event at a senior level Lyudmila Turkishcheva from Russia took home five gold medals, as well being awarded a silver. She was the first woman to complete the reverse double salo of the uneven parallel bar after winning the American Cup, New York City 1976. Carol Wayne.........................Carol Wayne was an American film and TV actor best recognized for portraying Art Fern's Tea-Time Movie Lady on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. Her career began in the entertainment industry as a teenager, when she performed as the figure skating duo of the sibling Nina Wayne for the travelling entertainment show Ice Capades. Carol Marie Wayne is a United States citizen, born on the 6th of September 1942, in Chicago Illinois. Carol began her career in entertainment when she was in her teenage years. At the age of a girl she started her career as a figure skating performer with Nina Wayne in the travelling show of entertainment Ice Capades. It featured dramatic ice-skating shows.
