Jenna Fischer's best-known role was as Pam Beesly from the popular television show The Office. In recognition of her work, she was awarded an Emmy award for Outstanding Actress in the Supporting Role. In addition, she won 2 SAG Awards.
Her family was based on the streets of St. Louis Missouri. Jenna was awed by her mother, Anne, perform in the church when she was younger and was able to instill a love of performing and theater.
Theater actress with training, Fischer returned to her roots after wrapping The Office. Off-Broadway's production of Reasons to Be Happy was written and directed by Neil LaBute, with Josh Hamilton, Leslie Bibb and Fred Weller. She then starred in Steve Martin's Meteor Shower - an absurdist comedy starring Greg Germanyn as well as Josh Stamberg - for the Old Globe Theatre's debut world premiere.
The Office co-star Angela Kinsey and Fischer launched Office Ladies, a podcast that airs on Earwolf on October 19, 2019. The podcast has proven to be an enormous success, making the Top Ten worldwide every week with more than 200 million downloads within its initial two years. Office Ladies received the iHeart Radio Podcast of the Year Award in January 2021.
The Actor's Life is her first book, which chronicles the road she took to get from St. Louis, Missouri to Hollywood, where she became a professional actress. The second book, Office BFF's (co-authored by Angela Kinsey) is an autobiography of her best friend and their experience working in The Office.
